Dear Editor,
The 'Pepsi' joke does not deserve too much attention and a
postmortem nor does it require any analysis. A joke is a joke to be
read, laughed and enjoyed for what is said there may not reflect the
reality. Some times a joke is sprinkled with little spice
as otherwise it fails to invoke a laughter.
A humanist role is to create
a joke for people to laugh and not to leave him morose for
its acceptability. It is just like a comedian who attracts the audience by his wits I will continue to send jokes, editorial permitting, of course keeping an eye on the acceptability so that pensioners could leave aside for a while the legal matters and the diatribe of the warring groups and have a nice day with a laughter not forgetting that laughter is the best medicine.

Should you think that if this mail if published would provoke further comments please refrain from doing it.

(Personally the Editor is of Shri Viswanathan's view. 100% so. Since Shri Mahadevan looked at it from a very
different angle, the joke was withdrawn. Here, the eminence of Shri
Mahadevan was the determining factor.
thanks. Ed.)
