SUPREME COURT DEVELOPMENTS...

It appears to me by reading the following office report of SC dt 12/3/2014 
that the Apex Court has only refused to stay the Contempt Proceedings in 
PB & H High Court.
There is already no interim relief as per the order of SC dt 9/8/2013.
So it will help the petitioners to pursue the contempt petition in the said 
High Court.

The instant appeal is by Special Leave granted by this Court's Order dated 09.08.2013 in petition for Special Leave to Appeal (Civil) No. 26445 of 2013 from the Judgment and orders dated 09.11.2012 of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh in Civil Writ Petition No. 16346 of 2010. There are 32 respondents. Notice of Lodgement of Petition of Appeal was issued through High Court on 13.01.2014. Certificate of service/Original record awaited from the High Court. It is submitted that Ms. Sushma Suri, Advocate has on 13.3.2014 filed Vakalatnama on behalf of Respondent No.32. It is further submited that Mr. Ashok Panigrahi, Advocate has on 10.03.2014 filed an application seeking stay of contempt proceedings. The application has been registered on I.A No. 3 of 2014.
The appeal above mentioned is listed before the Hon'ble Court with this office report. Dated this the 12th day March, 2014.
