Shri Sampath is the next person to join the chorus.
We have more posts for publication. Earlier we had published
different versions of the developments that took place in
the Supreme Court. But the posts published lacked
clarity and there was confusion. We are sorry for the same.
There was of course the usual accompaniment of 'great
victory' music played loud and clear. But for the first time we
felt like withdrawing the posts and finally we did so.
Now we leave the version of Shri HK Aggarwal for the readers to
go through. But a doubt lingers on, why the supreme
court ordered implementation of Jaipur judgment when they
considered an interlocutory application concerning
Pb & Haryana HC judgment and what was the
fate of Punjab & Haryana HC judgment.
Maybe, all the doubts will be cleared
when Supreme Court order is issued. -Ed.
I was out of my home and I was surprised to hear jubilant voices from fellow pensioners on my mobile. What a contrast it was. This morning when 84 year Sri M.R. Somasekhara Rao spoke to me in a dejected voice that he has resigned to be content with what he is getting and that he will no longer be enthused by so called hopes of possible immediate out come etc.I was left with a sour feeling for some time.
Now coming to to-day's S.C. Order it looks indeed a positively positive sign. LIC has filed the I.A. numbered 3 in r/o Chandigarh court Civil appeal only on 10-3-14. The S.C Registry acted very fast and submitted an office note on 12th to the full-bench and the full bench took up the same on 13th and posted before the appropriate bench to be heard on 14th (note that the full bench didn't just say put it for the appropriate bench and left at it but said list it on 14th). Look the 32nd petitioner in the Chandigarh case appointed an advocate who presented the vakalat nama on 13th. Look at the importance that S.C. has understood the need for quick settlement of the matter.
The subject matter of this IA is LIC begged stay of contempt and SC has unequivocally refused and reportedly asked LIC to implement Jaipur HC judgment. Let us wait for SC order before we sing.
