When will it end?

- The order the SC (8th Aug 2013) has generated a variety of reactions and emotions. Ever since the time the Chronicle conveyed that it is a technical dismissal, strong opinions were aired - including that the (SLP) dismissal is a dismissal (and no hair splitting is justified) and that the DB judgement stays to be honoured.
- It is also since stated that the issue has been resolved finally. Pensioners all over felt happy with justifiable relief and jubilation. I wish LIC does not prolong the matter any further so that people like me is alive to see the end of the tunnel. Can we be hopeful?
- Seeing however the trend of indifference and nonchalance so far, I am afraid that another long spell may not be ruled out because the matter has to face the queer decision of the Govt. I fear that what has happened is a ‘paper disposal’ and not a ‘matter disposal’. The Apex court has not decided but deferred the matter, despite the appreciably huge efforts that had gone in all these days. How I (at this age) wish the contention of the SLPs are sorted out to end the uncertainty once for all!
