HYDERABAD ASSOCIATION - REPORT CARD – 2                                                                         

There has been substantial progress in the drafting of our Petition during my sitting with Sri Saurav Agrawal, Advocate on Friday & Saturday. I allowed myself a day’s retreat to Jalandhar today (Sunday) to meet ‘Friends’ there – a large number of them.

Extending my stay in Delhi for Monday FN to wrap up a few other things.

The first cut of our Petition is getting ready for being vetted by the Senior Advocate, Sri Gaurab Banerjee, on 11th. Unless he makes major changes, we will be ready to file it almost immediately thereafter. I will be called to be back in Delhi at short notice. I am satisfied about the progress in the matter so far and will report the same to Mr Mahadevan & our EC on Wednesday for a comprehensive review.

We are the weakest party financially with the biggest task taken up on our head. We have tremendous faith in the pensioner fraternity and we count on the whole hearted support from all those, who agree with our approach.

  

40% IR  : Nothing needs to be added to what SN posted today in the PC, on how 40% is threatening to end up. It is going the way as 20% did. But hopefully this time when we accost LIC head on, which we have to, there will be more to support the action and none to oppose. Rather, others may join going by the public stance on the subject of several others that matter. Will close that for now, because the cause of action arises only after 14 May and till then we have more urgent tasks to fulfill. I am however eager to add that LIC’s whimsical interpretation of the SC Order to pay as per para 3A, is more brazen this time than ever before.
