| Sept. 23 ? |
That some amount will be paid to some pensioners in
compliance of the SC order of MAY 7 in response to Delhi HC writ may get
derailed much to the disappointment of those few. Come SEP 23 when the Bench
resumes the hearing whether at all any thing will happen is again anybody’s
guess. The ongoing legal tussle drives even a rationalist to believe in destiny
although the young monk Swami Vivekananda said that man is creator of his own destiny.
Some of my astrology fanatics with good intention predicted that the planetary
positions are favorable to us on that fateful SEP 23.
Very much confused over
all this astrology and destiny I became very inquisitive to know what Koran
says about them :
Islam says that the position of the stars and planets has no
bearing on what will happen to us nor does it believe in destiny. Muslims are
forbidden to engage in astrology and it
is a sin to show your palm for prediction. The question remains can we change
what will happen to us. Does prayer or active participation in a situation have
any effect on the outcome of the events Islam says YES. Nothing could change in
divine intervention except fervent surrender to God. Rightly so Lord Tennyson
in his poem said : ‘More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams
of. SEP 23 not being far away let us all
pray for justice to prevail and let the Almighty decide what is justice and
what is injustice and let his invisible hand write the judgment.
I thought instead of getting bogged down in the legal
turmoil and unable to answer my better half when will I fulfill that fabulous
present which I stupidly committed ever since we got justice from Justice
Bhandari on May 2010
and my own vow to Lord Ganesha that I will break 100
coconuts on the day I receive the dues adjudicated in the court (In this 5
years the prices of the coconuts have gone up alarmingly)
thought it will be
wise to laugh a while now and then to keep me going :

An Insurance agent instead of
seeing his prospects as told by
his boss spent the afternoon in one
of the X-rated movie show.
He went back to his office and told his boss
that in the afternoon he saw two girls who
were not covered.
