I have just read a post from our learned legal expert Sh. B.S. Hegde and my response is as below.
1. Since Sh. Hegde is himself a practising advocate after his retirement from L.I.C. so his view carries a lot of weight and I appreciate his views.
2. Panchkula AIRIEF Unit taking care of Chandigarh High Court Verdict has its own legal committee headed by Sh. Brij Jit Singh ex Chief Legal at central office along with Sh.S.N.Chhabra and Sh. T.C.Chopra and all the three are Petitioners in Chandigarh High Court.
3. B.R.Mehta being a recent retiree is neither a petitioner nor has any authority to appoint any one as our case manager. It was the unanimous decision of our legal committee fully endorsed by Panchkula AIRIEF Unit to appoint Sh. Sreenivasa Murty as our case manager.
4. Sh. Murty being ex R.M. Legal is working 24x7 for success of our legal case.
5. To say that Sh. Murty sends wrong reports or B.R.Mehta is always criticizing Sh. Asthana indicates Sh.Hegde not being aware of ground realities in our area or having a personal liking for some one and disliking for some one else.
6. Let us try to recollect the old scene when case was confined at Jaipur. Information about legal updates was coming to pensioners like an era of monopoly of sarkari door darshan.
7. With appearance of other stake holders at supreme court, our pensioners are no more dependent upon monopoly of one single person and every information about latest happenings is being flashed from various sources instantly.
8. Our fellow Pensioners are very intelligent and experienced. No body can mislead them or confuse them. All of them clearly know what is what.
