CASHLESS FACILITY - discussion continues

In the latest post under the above caption,
what Shri A. Balasubramanya wrote is by and large
correct procedure that is now available. But the
said procedure involving many steps at LIC, Hospital
Desk, Mediassist will be useful if only the patient
has sufficient time to live. Otherwise by the time
mediassist condescends to give approval for cashless
facility and the treatment would be commenced,
all one can say,  in emergency situations is
" Govinda Govinda."  This chanting would
atleast ensure peace to the struggling soul.

If the LIC, Insurer NIA and TPA Mediassist cannot issue a simple identity card based on which a patient in emergency situation can avail treatment or surgey, it is better to cancel the Contract with the Insurer and TPA and go searching for another agency that is willing to provide us the required service.

May be our pensioners at advanced ages cannot shout like youngsters in front of LIC offices but atleast cannot they send a petition or undertake a campaign on e-mail/post to make authorities sensitive to our Suffering?

This much can be undertaken by pensioners' organisations.
