Yes Asthana laid the foundation for solving the problems of LIC pensioners and to reach the final stage after crossing several hurdles with the help of AIRIEF. But it cannot be the sole concern of any one person or association now.
There's no point in repeating
- it is our matter
- it is our matter,
It is every pensioner's matter.
Should not one realise that many non-members of
AIRIEF also contributed to the legal fund, solely
with the spirit that it is their cause also.
Let us see the truth.
If there is a dispute in a family it is natural for the elders to intervene. They are not third party, They will look into the interest of all the parties and the family concern. It is in this spirit that LICPC called for a meeting of all stake holders. All LIC pensioners need to survive, need to be comfortable and safe.
I request Sri Gangadharan to reconsider his decision, renew his efforts and provide a platform for all the stake holders to meet and agree on a common approach and prepare for the probable arguments from the LIC/GOI and also from the bench, specially to be ready to counter argument of affordabliity.
As suggested by Sri GNS the venue could be LICPC HQ.
I borrow from Mr Murthy: Please buck up.We have things to do.
