ON A LIGHTER NOTE....
With due respect and warm regards to S/S MSM and GNS..
MSM's IA V is well intended : to counter GNS's IA III ? May not be exactly. The latter ( IA V ) is in the larger interest than the former ( IA III ). It would have been better if the former petition was submitted for small amendment or addendum to the Hon. Judge. The IA V is pro pre-1997 and pro post-1997 or for all the pensioners, the past and present and the future retirees.
But, it isn't always, more the merrier. Pray, fellow pensioners not to indulge in drafting any more pleasant or unpleasant petitions regarding updating of pension and 100% neutralisation of dearness relief to LIC pensioners in any court of law in the country. Even if filed by mistake or by design, may they be not admitted by the courts. If not, the pensioners do not be under misapprehension that they won't be obliged to change (till breathe last) the calendar pages every month year on year awaiting for next date of hearing with no end result/ final judgement in sight.
GOI Babus are well conversant in delay tactics, in buying time by filing SLPs to keep the cases unresolved for years. Babus come to occupy a seat or another position for few months/ years. Many among them and their counsellors ( on the pay rolls) prefer postponement/ adjournment of cases. They do not want to take responsibility to decide although they know well that the LIC Pensioners petitions/pleas are not invalid, not unjust, not unreasonable. Hardly a few, in frame of work culture/system in our country, are accountable for inaction or unreasonable delay. Hence, we better desist/refrain from filing any more petitions. Let all the pending cases of the LIC pensioners be decided by the Supreme Court early and in favour of the LIC pensioners.
ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
All expectations of judgement of the Supreme Court on 12 th August, 2014 have proved wrong. Any further delay beyond a month in getting Justice from the Apex Court be viewed serious by all the concerned. A must : To Chalk out A programme of Action as suggested by Shri H.K. Aggarwalji. A call by the leaders for resorting to - some thing like - akin to -Nation wide trade union action.
