Chronicle's yeomen service

Dear Sri Gangadharan,
Your service to LIC Pensioner's cause through the Chronicle and otherwise, is already well known. The dictionary meanings you provided for ready reference, prove my point. Thank you for publishing my full mail and the context of seeking correction.

In the deposit made (or yet be made?) by LIC in Chandigarh, I for
one, see no 'relenting' but only defiance. The contempt charge persists. I am sure it will be pursued to its logical conclusion by the concerned.

As to your Editor's 'super quick' job of uploading from a moving car - what a coincidence? I was given half an hour to vet and return an Affidavit to be filed in the Supreme Court on 8th Aug. If I fail, it will be too late for the deadline. I was in a moving car in Bombay heading for an important meeting. What I had was only my iPad. I just corrected some glaring errors. No time to fine tune at all. Shot it back to the Advocate waiting in Delhi. It was filed in the very last minute. When I received the final submitted version, there were still a few avoidable errors. Too late. Luckily inconsequential. I offered my explanation to Mr Mahadevan and others.

Working under pressure is very well known to me. I will be the last person to fault your Editorial Team or you.
Warm regards,
M. Sreenivasa Murty
