Less said, the better it is about the Indian Legal System. While the present situation and atmosphere in the country warrants reaching target, achieving, succeeding, finalising speedily & amicably, etc., etc., there is one system which firmly believes only in "journey". No one in that system is bothered about the purpose of journey, speed of journey, duration of journey, whether the goal is to reach the destination etc., Simply keep on travelling. Light at the end of the tunnel? No one is allowed to think about it.
Supposing a case is filed "on a controversy about the colour of the Crow" in a court, it can be dragged on for decades because of the "verbal sleight of the tongue/brain of the concerned lawyers. Meantime, intervention of Govt. of Baaboos, vested interests etc. would successfully add to this eternal dragging. Supposing due to some unforeseen calamity, the entire species of crows is annihilated but there would be no end for the legal case. This is our judicial system. Why they should give " so much " scope to GOI/MOF? When there is a resolution (for which the GOI Representative also was a signatory ) any decent system would simply and blindly has to accept and implement it. Should it require 1.5 decades and still remaining unsettled. This shows the wretched degeneration of the system in which we are living. If at all there is any sensitivity, those who are putting spoke in the wheel and creating eternal hurdles should be awarded severe punishment with heavy fine.
Pensioners' case is unique case which cannot be kept on decades BECAUSE, EVERYDAY ONE OR A FEW PENSIONERS WOULD BE BIDDING GOOD BYE TO THIS WORLD. COURTS MAY GRANT INNUMERABLE ADJOURNMENTS BUT THERE IS NO SCOPE FOR ANY ADJOURNMENT EVEN BY A FRACTION OF A SECOND IN THE COURT OF LORD YAMA. PEOPLE COME TO THIS WORLD WITH A RETURN JOURNEY TICKET READY with them.. ONLY THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE " BOARDING PASS " for commencing their journey back to ... wherever they are destined. it is a matter of deep agony that those people in GOI/MOF and their counsellors have not cared to realise this. May be they are of the belief that they ARE HERE PERMANENTLY. They must be made to realise/remember (if they have forgotten) THAT THE ONLY TRUTH IS THAT NO BODY CAN ESCAPE DEATH & effects of AGEING (if they live for longer years).
Therefore, let those Advocates, Baboos and others in GOI take cognisance of these and allow the pensioners of LIC to See the Light at the end of the tunnel AT THE EARLIEST and provide Pensioners the happiness to stay peacefully till they have to start their final journey to the Unknown Destination. Hope and Pray Lord Almighty that our Case will have PLEASANT FINALE IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.
