Dear Sri Gangadharan,

This is the first time I am writing to you but have been a reader of the Chronicle.

While all the other pensioners in the country are benefited by favourable court orders, it is only LIC pensioners who are suffering due to different approach by representative leaders of pensioners groups. It is not that they do not want the benefit but are shy of admitting that the others also have a point. As pointed out by Sri MSM the petitioners should sink the differences in approach and work for the pensioners who they profess they are serving.

The experience in various courts is very rich and has educated us all as to what we should do, more in the light of the fact that the seniors are vanishing as the "pearls of the morning dew - ne'er to be found again".

There is a growing desperation in every pensioner that his leaders may not be training the correct line to realise the benefits while he is still alive. To ward off such thoughts, each leader has to concentrate on GETTING THE SUPREME COURT ORDERS FOR getting the DR arrears upto Aug 1997 and revision of basic pension as from 1-8-97 and subsequent wage revisions.

We should thank all those who have been responsible for getting the judgments in our favour but remind them that TIME IS RUNNING OUT FAST and faster are the exits of the pensioners .

Let us all resolve to focus on what has to be achieved !!!
