During 2012-13, LIC has released
pension on last working days ...

My neighbour and her 85 + year father are GOI pensioners. She jocularly said that she gets "no pension" in March but gets "pension twice" in April every year !

Scheme for payment of pension to Central Government Pensioners - Staggering of pension payments by PSBs. 

• All agency banks advised to spread over disbursal of pension during the period of last four working days of the month, except for the month of March, which will continue to be credited on or after the first working day of April.
