Hon'ble Justice Sasidaran's comments in his landmark judgement quoted by Sh. RK Viswanathan are really commendable. But unfortunately intransigent bureaucrats in Govt.Departments/PSUs do not learn any lesson and have shown totally inhumane face in matters relating to poor widows and senior citizens, despite being hammered by the Apex Court on several occasions in the past as well. The same is the attitude of LIC Officials who have become puppets in the hands of MOF. Unless our Courts start recovering the cost from the blatantly erring officials or pass strictures to be recorded in their service book and award exemplary compensations to hapless litigants who are made to run for decades from pillar to post such judgements may only provide some mental solace as Ghalib has rightly said, " Hum ko malum hai Jannat ki haqiqat lekin
Dil ko khush rakhne ko 'Ghalib' ye khayal achha hai.."
