GOI more than LIC is unwilling and may play some game to delay the ultimate and inevitable eventuality of honoring the Jaipur HC verdict. LIC cannot dare say that they cannot implement the Court Order but plead for more time or cite civil appeals pending in SC. But what would be crucial wll be Judge's response to such submission. It is what counts in the final analysis.
Regarding approach of the other retired pensioners unions, Agarwal's reaction & remarks are his feelings for which he is entitled as any other individual & needs nobody's approval or permission.
As for Mehta's objection regarding mentioning Indore Account Number, there is a tinge of pride but what is important is the collection for footing huge legal expenses and definitely in the name of AIRIEF.

To conclude, nothing seems to have been achieved during these 16 years from 8/1997 by approach to many LIC chairmen, Officials & petitions to FM, PM and nothing may happen in future too.
The benefit of Uniform DA & Pension Updation would have to come through Judicial process. Matters can be helped by an united direct action by in service employees unions with some assistance from in service Bank Unions. But for that who will bell the proverbial cat?
