Respected Sir,
useful information
to pensioners...
Although I am a pensioner of LIC having retired in 1996 from Class III,  I do not have any particular affiliation or affinity to any of the retirees' associations. However, I do visit your blog at regular intervals and also get updated on what is happening around us. I must definitely compliment you for providing a forum for not only carrying information useful to pensioners posted by all three organisations but also the differing views of individual pensioners.

TAKE AS MUCH AS
YOU WANT!
I feel I have a duty to express my views too. Ordinary pensioners like me are constantly given hopes of imminent benefit but nothing worthwhile happened for years together. As far as three years back, repeated statements of some people made pensioners feel that the case in the Supreme Court was ‘nearing the end’, ‘we are in the door step of successes’ and so on. I recollect at least ten orders were secured in various courts but nothing in effect brought any relief.
dismissal also
termed a success!

Even on 8th instant when the SC disposed off the SLPs filed by LIC, the order was hailed as great success although the dismissal never touched the issue. The long wait ended in vain.
pensioners dying...
Unfortunately a good many aspirants and stalwarts of pension have passed away. Therefore the time is the essence obviously. We all know court proceedings involves heavy delay, which is inevitable, but can we also be a party to delay the process or  afford to waste the precious time in contempt petitions and worthless dismissal?  Pensioners continue to be misguided.
I am not surprised that the LIC started the appeal process once again, and God forbid the clock ticking once again.  The misguide continues even on this stating that the LIC's appeal is defective. I had the curiosity to check with an advocate-friend-advocate who states that there is nothing significant in it as in effect it only means that a requirement is awaited. Why then should we be jubilant to circulate it?
legal experts

There have been opinions on legal matters and I do not know how everyone has assumed the role of legal experts.

Things look like political arena. I am still optimistic that something will soon happen in our favour - if not through the court front but through the bankers' demand taking shape. I pray for it.
