I have since sent a letter thanking Shri Verma for pointing out the
error in date of retirement of Shri Sreevastava. I have sent another
letter-Revised note clarifying at length. Shri Sudhakaran may see that
in PC, if posted.
I have seen Shri Sudhakaran's workings of July,Aug.2012 position,
average pension etc,and they are computed correctly. BUT, here, we are
speaking about Shri R K Chopra, (making a reference to big difference
in the pension between position as 01-08-2012
and 01-08-2007 shown in the Chart posted in the PC ) asking about the
difference (net after commutation.)
Shri Chopra says,"I think this increase in pension will not be so
high if we compare 'net pension' now and then after getting commuted
value- although the commuted value now be high. Can any friend publish
such net pension chart [after commutation] now
proposed and admissible in previous settlement ending 31-07-2012".
Hence, the net difference after commutation on the maximum of pay scale
of AAO, without FPA etc.as on 01-08-2007 and 2012 pay scales as per the
Chart only has been highlighted.
All this exercise is to get to feel the pinch of anomaly on
account of the LIC Management and GOI not agreeing for updating of
pension and DR ( full to pre 1997 retiree- does not apply to Shri
Chopra). He was requested to work out his position fixation
etc. based on old and new scales and with reference to Staff Regulations
to know - approximately- the benefit he gets.
It would have been easier for me to give net difference in pension
after commutation in respect of all categories of Officers -AAO to ED
with reference to the Chart -at the maximum of pay scales etc. But, I
wish that Shri Chopra (and others) can do the
exercise themselves based on their existing basic pension etc.
I am truly happy. These letters have conveyed message to me to be extra careful when dealing with figures, money matters!
I thank Shri Sudhakaran. May God bless.
