Dear Sri Gangadharan,
This is in continuation of what I conveyed to Sri C H Mahadevan over phone and published in the PC already.
Mr Savla's Associate got a phone call at 1.56 PM today that LIC Counsel intends to 'mention' before the Bench for certain 'accommodation'. Similar calls would have gone to the counsel appearing for Jaipur and Delhi Petitioners also. There was no time for Mr Savla's Associate to be present.
On enquiry it was later learnt that LIC counsel mentioned to the Bench at 2.00 PM today that LIC intends to engage the Solicitor General who is not free tomorrow and therefore it wants adjournment of the matter. It was also learnt that Judge asked the counsel to 'come tomorrow and mention'.
There are two possibilities: 1. LIC counsel may mention at 10.30 itself. If so and if agreed by the Bench, everything stands adjourned. 2. If Judge says, mention when your case reaches, in the cause list, other things like 7 Sept Order on 20% payment will get full attention.
Let us keep our fingers crossed. AND KEEP PRAYING
