I am and have been a fan of M. Sreenivasa Murty. I love to read him and his unflinching undeterred writings. He is a fire brand. His blood boils if any one dares to say a word directly or indirectly resulting an insult to his sincere approach to a cause. By and large, the most honest and the most un-hypocritical persons come in this category. They are emotional. They get hurt with a pinprick. They are, therefore, short tempered. They do not mince words. All in the nature of things. Their anger may be weighed/ taken at discounted value. More importantly, Shri Murty is a devout karmavadi in the midst of court battle for updation of pension for pensioners : past, present and future. May he be allowed to play his role valorously, undisturbed, unperturbed, from any angle, including his own self.
The Editor's caricature/cartoon accompanying Shri Murty 's " An Open letter to Mr. M.V.Venugopalan" was splendid, fantabulous - as they say nowadays. Says, they aren't cartoons or caricatures. I was awestruck to see the flames of anger outpouring along the heading of the letter (!) and the exasperation emanating, emerging from the Laptop(!!).
No doubt, the "Yuddasya Vaartaa Ramyaa", but let all of us and let all our Pensioners' leaders concentrate more on the victory unto themselves.
