Dear Editor,
It is just learnt that LIC Counsel had applied for withdrawal of 20% (of the amount deposited viz., Rs 33,67,838/-) in the Punjab & Haryana High Court in Chandigarh. LIC has NOT filed any reply till date to the Affidavit filed by the Petitioners (as directed by the Court on 21 May 2015).
All these issues are expected to be taken up by both sides on the next hearing date of the contempt case which is 20 July 2015.
I am asked to be present in the Court on that day to assist the Counsel on behalf of the Petitioners. Some fireworks are sure to explode and we may hope for a sensible outcome too.
