LIC wants information from the Delhi Petitioners - THE TRAP IS LAID.‏

Dear Editor,

What was feared just proved right. Hope Mr GN Sridharan overcomes the likely temptation to comply and fall in to the vicious trap.

LIC is not known to have ever acted magnanimously in such matters. But this one is stooping too low and acting cheap.

Does anybody (including my mentor and most revered Shri Mahadevan) see in this E-mail of LIC to GNS, any modicum of any intention on the part of LIC to pay anything to any names, if Mr GNS blunders to communicate to LIC?

Friends, it's a TRAP. I beg of GNS not to get sucked in to this. I am sure he will see this as much as I do.

LIC 1) does not seek clarification from SC, 2) does not like to comply with the SC Order in letter not to talk of 'in spirit', 3) but has prepared the ground to shield itself against any charge of contempt.

On any response that may go from GNS,  LIC can and will prolong the correspondence with his Federation till 23 Sept 2015 without running the risk of being hauled up for contempt (which it has in plenty for its Pensioners).

LIC deposited Rs 33,67,838/- in Chandigarh, Much less in Jaipur. It is trying to withdraw 20% of the deposit in Chandigarh (Rs.6,73,567.60p) through an application to the Court which is yet to be made. A similar drama is being enacted in Jaipur also (to entertain my good friend KML).

All this to tell Supreme Court (if any of us file contempt petition) that it is doing its best to implement the Order dated 7 May 2015. To insulate itself from any damage.

Today all of us , Jaipur, Chandigarh and even DELHI (Delhi had an emotional proximity with LIC all these years on the subject of Pensioners' dues) are like COMRADES IN DISTRESS.

I am still personally confident that given the will, we can overcome the present crisis. We can outsmart LIC and expose its machinations. Something solid is being planned for Chandigarh before 20th July.

This is my yet another APPEAL, to GNS, KML and AIRIEF through you, Mr Gangadharan - Let us get together - in Delhi on 21st July. We can chalk out a plan of action. We have nothing to lose. There is scope for great success.

Thanks and regards,
M Sreenivasa Murty
