Sir, in USA, the concepts are different ?
(Also check up, sir, if  jails are air-conditioned there!!)
The event against which the insurance is sought, CHM sir, is not the mortality of the insured person. It is the uncertainty of the SC final judgment, whether it favours us or not. If an accident which may happen or not can be insured, why not the uncertainty factor in the SC judgment could be insured ? That was my point.
Here, not only the final outcome, but also the period within which it could happen is also uncertain. Concept of insurance is itself protecting oneself against possible losses consequent on events....happening on uncertain unforeseeable future dates. 
In USA, the concepts are 
different?
