Chat-n-Chat: Lloyds prepared to insure anything !

10 Jul 15, 01:43 PM

subburathinam: My dear Ganga raju ! this does not follow dfd pattern. What is the probability that a batsman in a test match would get hit on the chest or head and would die also.? What is the P of an actress losing the lustre of her lips or get bruised in legs? They may prima facie look unconnected things. Insuring them is not wager. What is the probability that a man sent to Mars will return ?
  • Do they have any quantifiable past data? No. What is the risk of you and I

getting swine flu next season? Is it assessable? But neverthess, this can be insured.
Events apparently unrelated in a time frame, are indeed bonded to one another at a macro level. Discussion on this may lead us to a philosophical frame of mind.

But, let me tell u, Lloyds wd insure anything . They have a right brainy guy at the top. We are but sheep. We can only mug up rule books, and pass exam. Not trained to think differently.

CHM is indeed right, my dear friend !
