It may recalled that Shri MSMji along with some other retiree colleague had met the LIC Chairman last year. This time around, he took initiative to meet the ED (P) and MD. He has made very clear mention in his dialogue and in his memorandum that interest of all pensioners is paramount. Surely, he represented and spoke on behalf all pensioners. Last year, he had made public what transpired between him and the Chairman. It had invited a few reactions. This year's meeting with ED and MD has been very pleasant. Both the bosses were receptive and responsive. That is more than enough to know and for the time being.
It is heartening to learn that Shri GNSji has taken desired steps to help his members. Hopefully, Shri KMLAji has also moved the matter eventually to get the Jaipur High Court judgement re-validated by the Supreme Court.
All these leaders have been striving hard for the cause of the pensioners for last many years relentlessly, in their inimitable way, the idiosyncrasies surfacing unintended and limitations - court room delays etc.- notwithstanding.
Shri PGji, the Editor, LIC PC is very furious. He has reflected the mood of the pensioners. His reaction to apathetic approach of the Chairman towards 40000 plus pensioners under great stress and strain is worth a million. A strong call to awake the Top Management from slumber and for timely action.
