LIC PENSIONERS SUFFERING

It is timely that RBK has suggested to our senior counsels to be assertive and even emotionally argue out on legal principles, violation of fundamental rights etc. Sir, we have about 10 days to prepare for a battle if the battle field is set.
  • We have to emotionally bring to the notice as to how many people left to their heavenly abode since the Board resolution 2001 and after Jaipur Judgment in 2010, if possible how many pensioners are in hospital or how many of them are having serious illness requiring frequent hospitalization etc. In these days of fast communication it should not be difficult to collect such information at least from the regular visitors of Chronicle, the information available with AIRIEF, AIIPA, Cl. I Offcer's Federation. One Class I retirees from Bangalore I who sufferred a brain hemorrhage had a stroke and had a second operation last week and his condition is pitiable, another officer from Bangalore DO has multiple health issues like diabetes, kidney inefficiency and recently Glaucoma. There are 2 Officers who had cancer and one of them in addition has a heart rhythm problem. I think there must be so many such cases in Bangalore and throughout India.
If what is happening on OROP case the New Govt promise of implementing the SC Judgment is in doubt in respect of retrospective effect etc. in such a situation many of us may not be here to reap the benefit even if SC gives a favourable judgment. As one of my pensioner-colleagues remarked - yes we will get a favorable decision from SC and GOI after last of pre 8/97 pensioners completes his journey here. May not this happen and the Counsels to bring to the notice that nearly 15 years is over after Board resolution and 5+years after the Jaipur Judgment and urge for immediate implementation of its Order.
