VARISHT SANDESH: BR MEHTA writes to VC Jain

Dear Sh. V. C Jain,

We have read E- Magazine dated 01-01-2015 of your Indore Unit under the name Varisht Sandesh Issue No. 39 and at para No. 4 through your highly objectionable comments regarding Panchkula AIRIEF unit ... ...

Having served as GS of AIRIEF for total six years period you could have raised your own personality in such a way that today you must have been a tallest leader in LIC Pensioners community but Afsos you worked as a spokes person of only one individual compromising all principles of a progressive institution which should have been like

Democratic outlook
Financial Discipline
and Transparency

We are very sorry to say with a heavy heart that during your six years term as GS, you have tried to do operation cover up only.

And when Panchkula AIRIEF Unit raised issues relating to above referred basic principles, you tried to silence our voice through your policy of proving us like a villain.

Now today when you do not happen to be an All India Office Bearer of AIRIEF, how you can write all such wrong things in your house magazine. All Units of AIRIEF whether Indore which you represent or Panchkula being represented by Sh.S.N. Chhabra have equal rights. Who has given you a license to criticise any other AIRIEF unit like Panchkula.
While answering my above query, you are also requested to clarify your position on following issues.

1. How it can happen that while being AIRIEF GS for six years, you continued to work as Secy Indore AIRIEF unit. Totally undemocratic.
2. When our learned friend sh.H.K.Aggarwal from Mohali was making attempts 24x7 to LIC Pensioners all over India to deposit their legal fund donation to personal bank account of an All India Office Bearer of AIRIEF at Jaipur what action was taken by you to stop him.
3. I have attended two AIRIEF GC Meetings and I have not seen you in action to tell everyone to stop putting contributions in an Individual account. Can you clarify
4. It was your duty as GS to seek details of money collected by an individual AIRIEF leader in his bank account and get the same transferred to AIRIEF account. Did you perform this duty ?

5. We have collected funds from our local members to fight legal battle at chandigarh high court level and also contributed towards legal fund of AIRIEF.
We are thankful to AIRIEF leadership for taking care of Our legal battle at Supreme court.
Our total expenses at High Court level are less than Rs Two lacs and our expenses at Supreme court are likely to be Rs Two lacs fifty thousands out of which Rs One lac fifty thousands has already been reimbursed by AIRIEF.This includes an amount of Rs Fifty thousands spent towards Supreme court Advocate fee recently towards a very successful Mention exercise undertaken by Panchkula AIRIEF unit on 17th December 2014 as result of which today entire LIC Pensioners community is looking forward for supreme court hearing of our case on 14th January 2015.
We raised said issue at last Bangalore GC also without any satisfactory reply from your side.
How more than Rs 33 lacs can be spent by you during last two years towards legal expenses
No doubt it will be responsibility of new committee now to investigate this matter thoroughly after you hand over entire account books and vouchers etc to them in proposed AIRIEF office bearers Meet on 18th January 2015
How ever, it is more than clear now that you wasted AIRIEF legal fund contributed by poor LIC Pensioners out of their meagre pension. Reasons can be many. But one thing is clear that transparency and financial discipline was missing during your tenure as GS. Can you satisfy questions raised by hundreds of Pensioners or you want to silence our voice by labelling us as villains

Hoping to have specific answers to above referred questions
Regards
BRMehta
