Dear All,
NO HEARING EVEN TODAY. As was expected, the case was not taken up today even though it was at Sr. No. 101 i.e. No. 1.
The Senior Advocate of LIC had already moved for adjournment of the case for two weeks and the same was allowed directly or indirectly. Now the Honourable Judges have told the Advocates of the Pensioners present in the court that the case will be taken up in the first week of February' 2015.
No body can say that the case will be taken up even in the first week of February as the LIC Advocate may ask for some more time on the same grounds.
The court cases are not decided so quickly and we have to be patient and should not be enthusiastic for early results. Last time when some pensioners met the LIC Chairman at Hyderabad, he promised that LIC will not take any adjournment. But his words have not been true.
It appears that there is pressure on LIC from the Government to delay the case and wait for the settlement of wage revision of Bank employees as the Government Officials have all along talking about the ripple effect of the decision of pension for LIC pensioners on the Banks and GIC.
It appears that our case may not be decided for one reason or the other till the settlement in the banks.
So go on waiting and waiting and waiting.
