- I have gone through the full judgement delivered by Justice Anil R Dave & Justice S K Singh rejecting the plea of the VRS Retirees in General Insurance Companies.
- Without commenting on the Judgement per se (it is however wrong and hasty to describe it as *retrograde etc.) I wish to state that this Judgement will have no adverse bearing at all on LIC Pensioners' cases coming up for hearing before the Supreme Court on 14 Jan 2015, for the reason that the facts of the cases are completely different.
- On the contrary, Petitioners in our cases being Pensioners who retired in the normal course of service, can perhaps draw some support from this judgement on a limited point of fact.
- *It is also wrong and hasty to conclude that it negates the spirit of DS Nakara Judgement. I see none of it.
- Thanks and regards,
Sreenivasa Murty M
