Dear Editor
What an amount of efforts taken by the Respondents to
bring to light the Civil Appeals of LIC which were shoved into the cold
storage of Supreme Court while the Opponent gleefully watching other
side. ALL WENT IN VAIN.
Special "mention" in the judges
chamber for the first time had been made and the cases were brought into
the current listing but alas the cases could not be heard on the listed
day due to the Serial Number allotted to our cases being in the last
leg of the list causing great disappointments to the anxious LIC
Pensioners fraternity.
Again another "mention" for early hearing
of our cases was made by our Counsels to the Judges who heard it
"sympathetically" and the cases got listed for an early date for
hearing for a second time. Unfortunately this date of hearing too was
of no use to us again because of the Serial
Number muddle.
Once again thanks to the efforts of Asthanajis
Counsel Mr R.K Singh and his appeal to the judges FOR NOT ONLY EARLY
HEARING DATE BUT ALSO FOR A SOLUTION TO THE SERIAL NUMBER PROBLEM, and
to everybody's satisfaction the cases stood posted to 21-1-2015 at Sl
No.1.
With bated breath we all were counting down the days for
the D Day but now another Bolt From the Blue has fallen on us. This time
the LIC COUNSEL TOOK CREDIT FOR postponing the case for a later date
after 2 Weeks. Now nobody knows when the cases will come up for hearing.
Certainly the Appellant is not at all in a hurry for the cases being
heard and final judgement issued expeditiously. ANY DELAY IN TAKING UP
THE CASES FOR HEARING IS GOING TO BE ONLY A BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE FOR
THEM.
Therefore the ball has come back to our court and we have
to start playing the game from square one. God only should sympathise
with our lot and help us see the FINAL
JUDGEMENT VERY SOON.
