I have gone through the report of meeting of the Pensioners of Hyderabad consisting of M/s Srinivas Moorthy, C.H.Mahadevan, Y.V. Suba Rao and V. Krishnan.
1. The comments of LIC Chairman that the "RAJASTHAN JUDGMENT IS WRONG BECAUSE IT DIRECTED LIC TO DO WHAT IT CANNOT DO" is surprising.
2. The Chairman hinted that the Govt. was to permit sometimes back for removal of DR anomaly without 11.25 % rise.
3. The Chairman states that Pension Revision with every wage revision will have a ripple effect in Banks. This is what the Finance Secretary had told the delegation who met the Govt. Officials recently.
4. The Chairman says that LIC will not oppose any move to the Supreme Court for early decision.
5. About release of payment in the case of Shri M.C. Jain, the Chairman informed that they are examining similar cases and that is why it is taking time.
6. We can read the mind of LIC and the Govt, of India that they do not intend to pay anything more than removal of DR anomaly.
7. So there is only hope from the SC judgment which may help the pensioners.
8. Let us not be very enthusiastic and misled be some friends and wait for the SC judgment which may take its own time.
With Best Wishes.
