Meeting of Pensioner Federations and others to discuss about the
Supreme Court cases listed on 12th November 2014
For some time now we have been very often hearing statements about the need for the pensioner associations meeting at a convenient place and time to discuss the supreme court cases listed on 12th November 2014. All of us agree that there is need for some understanding as to how we should face the Supreme Court, LIC and GOI and advance our arguments for realization of our just demands.
There is so far no news that our pensioner associations are meeting. Lack of initiative on the part of associations perhaps will appear to be the primary reason for not realizing this particular aspect of the pensioners strategy. Who will take the initiative and how will other associations react appeared to be the impediment.
The LIC Pensioners Chronicle has therefore decided to come to fore to take initiative and approach all the pensioner associations conducting the cases in the Supreme Court with a request to attend such a meeting. Here we hasten to add that our initiative will be confined to making contacts with the concerned persons and to ensuring that the meeting takes place.
This is therefore our letter intended to moot the idea and explore the possibility of conducting the meeting.
Since your Federation is presently engaged in Supreme Court case listed on 12th November 2014 for hearing, please let us know the following being your initial reactions in the matter.
This letter is being sent to the following Federations/Associations/stake-holders/others:-
1. AIRIEF (President, General Secretary and Shri Asthana).
2. Retd. Officers Federation (President and General Secretary)
3. Shri SN Chhabra AIRIEF Panchkula Unit
4. Shri CH Mahadevan & Shri M.Srinivasa Murty of Hyderabad Officers Association.
Please let us have your early reply. Our efforts in this regard will be confined to coordinating different aspects of conducting the meeting.
While on the subject, you may also let us know if you think that a person/persons should attend the meeting to ensure that the meeting takes place in a businesslike and cordial atmosphere.
Thank you.
