The RBI's decision to cut the number of free transactions on other banks' ATMs will have widespread ramifications. Starting 1 November, if you conduct more than three transactions on other banks' ATMs in a month, you will be charged Rs 20 per transaction. The apex bank has also allowed banks to charge customers if they use their own bank ATMs more than five times a month.
