Dear Sir,

I do not know why people always see a ghost in whatever M Srinivasa Murty does, the latest one being when he said in the memorandum submitted to Hon Minister of State ( Finance ) : " We will be happy to assist LIC and the Government to hammer out a solution to end the stalemate via a broad based committee representing all categories of pensioners."

If any one sensibly reads in between the lines it would be clear that the intention of MSM is to create a common platform outside the court wherein he alone will not be representing and talking and even if he talks. It could never be imagined that he would do anything to dilute Justice Bandhari's judgement. If someone thinks that way, he is wrong.

Now that the present Government is proactive, people friendly, more action than talking, MSM would have thought why not take advantage of this AND TRY TO HAMMER OUT A QUICK SOLUTION to our 16 years of legal battle and also not being very sure 12 TH AUGUST is going to see the end of the day.

Every time a court order in our favour is pronounced victory bugles are sounded but the suit gets dragged on. So what is wrong in meeting the GOI officials if they agree to meet?
This mail is not to decry the legal battle Shri Asthana has waged despite physical and financial constraint but what is aimed at is to create a platform where all the stake holders assemble and have a detailed dialogue with the GOI to make them fully understand the gravity of the situation and to prevail upon them to honour the court verdicts when again the court meets on12 AUGUST and in the interregnum to think of any relief.
With regards
R.K.Viswanathan
