This is not the right time to play the blame game. All the
efforts for unity shedding all differences vanished in thin air. Now that we
are in the final stage of the legal battle and we have to get a crystal clear judgment
on August 12 TH to put at rest all the doubts, worries and anxieties with no
more slip between the cup and the lip.
The appellant LIC would in all
probability be utilizing the time lag to think of the ways and means to keep
the litigation going for some more time and they have the policy holders money
to spend for roping in high profile lawyers in their mission.
Aged and ailing
we are deeply concerned and worried about our mortality having seen many deaths
among the pensioners all these years and naturally the expectations are that
this court case should end soon. In this turmoil the silver lining is that the
new government with a steamroller majority is proactive, people friendly and
tuned to listen to the citizen’s woes.
Any new government to gain popularity
will try to undo the unjustifiable acts what their predecessor has done and perhaps one such being the gross
injustice done to the LIC pensioners despite several court orders in their favor.
home made solution for worry, isn't it! |
The meeting with the Finance ministry officials should be
so timed that they are free to talk to us and this could be so after the budget
session and this should be neither too early nor too late. Atleast during this
last journey I hope unity could be forged.
