On 22 inst we thought that something worthwhile
would emerge when the Bench sits and to our dismay and worry the hearing was
postponed to July. Then will come the Puja and Christmas holidays not to speak
of the endless adjournments sought by LIC. All these are causing enormous worry
to the helpless ageing and ailing pensioners and I am no exception but the
unfortunate thing for me is that I am 81+ with old age blues.
The other
day I was browsing the web site: www.reallyworried.com and could get useful information on worry.
An average urbanite spends two hours of the day fretting, a futile exercise of
the confused mind. The American humorist Boombeck has said it beautifully : “Worry is like a rocking chair, it keeps you going but gets you nowhere “ About
75% of our Pensioners worry is about the prolonged court cases, my junior who
retired later is getting more pension than me. And mind you this worry is when
you are in solitude and half of those who worried at home did so in their bed
room and if you ask them they say the worry comes to them between 10 and 3 AM,
the time you are supposed to relax in the soft embrace of sleep between the
arms of your better half and thus both suffer.
To the Chronicle editor, worry came rushing 19 minutes past 3 AM on 16-5-2014 when he suddenly got up to update the blog! |
A worrying mind is a shallow
mind. It is always in turmoil. So why worry about our court cases. What should
happen let it happen when it should happen. So forget the
worry, be cheerful and get going.
