Now LIC has all the time and opportunity to 'oppose' 'admission' of the Writ Petition. On legal/technical grounds like its maintainability etc., If and when the WP survives all the vehement opposition from LIC on the limited question of admissibility, then, even after 'admission' there is always the scope to drag the matter for long. That is what LIC prefers after all.
Let's hope the Supreme Court hearing on April 4 does not also end up a damp squib, while LIC watches the drama with glee.
The real solutions to pensioners problems lay elsewhere.
Fight on multiple fronts, but from a single platform with a unity of purpose. Against a common enemy - LIC/Govt. And NOT among ourselves, not against one another.
