  • Implication of Revised Mediclaim Salary Slabs

  • vis-a-vis

  • Legal fight for Pension Revision‏

The Central Office in their Circular dt 28/3/2014 have clarified that apart from removing the ceiling on maximum age of 90 yrs,the categories of Basic Pay will be as per their slabs of coverage earlier prior to those revised as per their circular dt 4th March 2014.

This by implication means that retired employees who were in higher slabs before wage revisions based on last Basic pay drawn under the group Mediclaim are notionally deemed to have been fitted in the revised Basic Pay that would protect their category even though their actual Basic Pay drawn might have placed them in a lower category according to the revised slabs.

This can be an additional valid ground to strengthen our case in our legal fight for revision of our Basic Pensions with every wage revision.
With greetings,
