The Rahul factor
Frank, ebullient and hyperactive Rahul Gandhi is
on a whirlwind tour to resuscitate his party from its sagging morale himself
not being sure whether UPA Government will survive after the elections. Well
this being the scenario to get an interview with him will not be easy and God
forbid if we could meet him with our problem he cannot offer any solution off
the cuff for he has to consult the MOF before he could sympathize with our
grievance and you can imagine how he will be brain washed by the finance
ministry.- One Rank One Pension for the armed forces with Rahul’s intervention falls under a different footing as UOI itself was toying with this idea for long and buckled to Rahul’s pressure as they have to keep the fighting force in good shape and humor besides eying for a large vote bank resting with the armed force. Let us not read too much from what Rahul did for them.
- Although we should not soft pedal in the legal course open to us but go full throttle to get the ultimate legal remedy for our case is solid backed up by catena of judgments from the apex court. However the arms of the judiciary being long the respondent Corporation will try to stretch it as far as it can with the money power.
- The need of the hour is patience, endurance and faith in the battle which Asthana has waged more than a decade ago and at this crucial stage fight it out with all the legal expertise at our command remembering the famous saying “A winner never quits and a quitter never wins and never say die”.
