Dear Mr Gangadharan,

3,33,333
this platform gives us a closer view !
I have been a daily visitor, like thousands of others, of your Chronicle and the community is indebted to you for this great service.

I am looking forward to be the Visitor No 3,33,333.

With your today's updated inputs of different (and differing) champions pursuing LIC pensioners' cause, you have achieved the status of  'single best platform' for unbiased information sharing. Please keep it up.

I wish to react to some of the developments that came to light lately through your chronicle as well as some of the views expressed by different co-pensioners.

By nature and due to valuable training, I am always positive in my thinking and don't believe in dismissing others' views while dealing with any serious issues. (Politics may be an exception). Having said that, I should admit that I am a bit concerned and disappointed on what is happening in Jaipur. With no offence to any individual or Organization, I feel that there can be more openness, more consistency in arguments and willingness to listen to others' suggestions on strategy. There can be no doubt that the case is no longer the private matter of the individual first petitioners. Thousands of pensioners across the country have a stake in what is going on and they have acquired a right, moral if not legal to partake in pursuing the matter, in their own way.

It is high time leaders shed their egos, discard their possessiveness and accept accountability. Legal processes in our country are sometimes a gamble but we should not fail in areas where we have established a distinct advantage.

I strongly suggest/propose an urgent round table meeting of representatives of all pensioners' Organizations particularly those who are spearheading the cases in different High Courts and the Supreme Court, at a convenient place - exchange views and strategies for the common good and move forward with the sole aim of resolving Pensioners grievances. Also avoid crossing the paths of one another. Otherwise we run the risk of frittering away the tremendous advantage gained by the Rajasthan HC Judgement dated Jan 12, 2010.

We are almost rotting today in a state of "Three Lawyers and Four Opinions" situation.

Who can make it happen more than you, widely read and respected LIC Pensioners Chronicle?
Thanks and regards,
 M. Sreenivasa Murty
