Dear Editor,

Cheers to GOI pensioners and tears to LIC Pensioners

GOI has recommended to the seventh pay commission increase in DA and merger of 50% DA with basic salary which will benefit more than 50 lakhs government employees and 30 lakhs pensioners. It is estimated that  it would lead to hike in salary by around 30-35% and consequently there will be substantial increase in the pension. Against this backdrop what is there in store for the aging and ailing LIC pensioners except to believe in their stars and wait for 13 long agonizing years for a final judicial verdict sans any ambiguity and expressed in clear terms with adequate clarity giving no scope for any further arguments and calling for any further requirements.

My mind wanders about in search of a positive solution to help us have a good night sleep, an essential ingredient for our longevity lest we may kick the bucket before the court decides.
"I can see the bucket, but who kicks the bucket isn't clear !"
