WHAT'S WRONG WITH MEETING FIN SECRETARY OR ASKING FOR AD-HOC PAYMENTS

Dear Shri Gangadharan,

I am pained to see the criticism levelled by some against Sri GNS for his recent meeting with the Union Finance Secretary. What is wrong in that? The Finance Secretary is one who has to take decisions in all matters relating to LIC and a meeting with him may help in his arriving at right decisions favourable to pensioners. About asking for ad-hoc relief, nobody knows how long the court cases will take to reach their finality and in the meantime if some ad-hoc payment is granted it will be of immense relief to pensioners like me who is aged 80+ and there is no point in finding fault with that.

For information of Sri Agarwal:  The SC order dt 8.10.13 on Delhi HC case was corrected by a fresh order dt.17th October 13 stating inter-alia that there shall be no stay on Delhi HC judgement.
