We have come to the final stage looking for the
ultimate victory. It is like a T 20 Cricket match where during the death over
the players would fire to win and not to buckle under pressure.
LIC/UOI will be
sitting on the powder keg when their appeal will be heard in the SC for having
exhausted all their ammunition they perhaps would be parroting on the powers
vested to them under Sec 48 of the Act which time and again was scrutinized,
argued and thrashed out in the Jaipur SB
proceedings and later got endorsed in other courts.
There are a few who are horbouring the doubt whether what
they have to rightfully get will also be deposited in the court registry along
with the petitioners who contested in the case. Whether it will be paid or not
should not bother and rob their sleep for they can be certain that it will be
paid according to established law as there cannot be any discrimination in this
matter.
As rightly reiterated
by yours truly, Aggarwal and few others, the need of the hour is unity.
In my earlier mails I have stressed this and gone to the extent of painfully
quoting an incident in Mahabharata but of no avail. Ego has interfered. There
is no dearth for wisdom among us and quite a few are legally well qualified and
practicing successfully in the bar. It will be futile to bring them on a common
platform but they can give their counseling
through the Chronicle which is
impartial in reporting and provided an abode for us to air our views .
I repeat we are all birds of the same feather and we should flock together.
