Dear Sir,
We have carefully gone through the submissions made of
Shri R B KISHORE in the Calicut Blog.
Firstly, we are indeed grateful to ‘CALICUT BLOG’. It has created a source to all the pensioners
to understand the realities of the legal position to claim up gradation of
Pension to all retirees irrespective of class, cadre and also the date of
retirement. We have a reasonable claim. Secondly all the High Courts, namely, Jaipur,
Punjab and Haryana and the Delhi High Court, endorsed Hon’ble Justice M. N. Bhandari’s
judgment in favour of the pensioners.
As L I C employees, we had a long drawn history in the court
matters in respect of Bonus or in the matter of promotions. The Judgment given by the Constitution Bench
of the Supreme Court was not implemented, the employees had gone on indefinite
Strike. At that time, the Supreme Court
had given a date for the payment of Bonus. To facilitate LIC for making the
payment of bonus, the employees called off the strike and joined the office….
We now understand from the contributions of Shri R B Kishore
(“My submissions on pension matters’’ published in your blog) that there is a strong case on the legal front.
We personally feel all members of other organisations also have
come to one opinion that our case is a strong case. They are praying that their
leadership also can come to a similar opinion and they are anxiously waiting for
the final orders of the Jaipur High Court on 20th May. All of them are fully convinced that SLP Nos.
29956/29957 will be summarily dismissed.
The L I C is the pride of the nation. It took a decision on 24-11-2001 to do away with
discrimination in pension matters between various groups of the homogeneous
class of L I C pensioners.
*Here exists an organisation professing to champion the cause of
toiling masses of the country and declares its objective of establishing
socialist society in this country and the same organisation does everything to decry the victories achieved by the
pensioners on the legal front. Apart from not doing anything to see
the decisions of the Courts are implemented by LIC, they sabotage the interest
of the pensioners…. But they will be
defeated. And we are sure, pensioners
will come out victorious.
As pensioners there is nothing wrong if we wish for the good
of the pensioners community without class or cadre. There is large number of
pensioners who have crossed 80/85 years of age who contributed a lot for the
present prosperity of L I C. Let
the Chairman of LIC take the lead and set an example to honour its commitments.
HAIL ASTHANA & HIS EFFORTS!
With greetings,
K K D HANUMANTHA RAO
L S R KRISHNA RAO
