A PENSIONER'S VIEW POINT... (so simple?)

i find the following points noteworthy

1.  asthana contested that all pensioners should be declared as one class and pension paid at enhanced rate to corresponding pay scales at the time of retirement   2.  provision to upgrade pension due to periodic revision in the case of central govt employees is incorporated in central govt pension rules
on the basis of which lic pension rules are framed   3.  sec 21 provides for approval by govt on issues involving public interest and not on day to day matters. hence board resolution need not get govt
approval (judgment)   4.  counsel for govt never contested lic board resolution or merit and contents thereof or its competence to pass such a resolution and has not chosen to appeal and this can be treated as approval (judgment)  5.  the review petition by lic was also dismissed by court.

hence i think lic should not have preferred slp in supreme court wasting policyholders money.
