Calicut City Branch No.1. Staff members have left the office. AO is busy completing his work. An evening scene in any Branch office.
Suddenly a person enters the office from outside.
AO: "You are promoted, isn't it? Posted to this Branch!"
HGA-designate: "But sir, one stagnation increment is due within 20 days.I will draw it. Then join".

| AO: "Yes,yes....it's only natural. Anybody will try to protect it. Afterall, I cannot give an increment to you... you take your time and join. |
PROMISED SOMETHING; SECRETLY REPORTED SOMETHING ELSE....
Scene-2. Manager (P&IR) and HGA-designate present in SDM's cabin.
SDM to candidate: I don't know why he has written this letter. Anyway you are young. And you have still time to draw increments. You join Branch tomorrow."
Candidate agrees but he wonders why SDM called him and asked to join.
Suddenly he got the answer. A letter written by AO, Calicut Branch No.1 and marked "confidential" in red ink was lying on SDM's table.
The candidate could clearly see and read the contents.. Yes, printed 'fowarding letter' form, his own handwriting, marked "Confidential " in red ink and BM's signature. Everything.
Full text of talk candidate had with him was there......barring, of course, the words: "It's only natural. After all I can not give you an increment, you take your time and join!"
Scene-3. Manager (P&IR)'s cabin.
Manager (P&IR) to HGA-designate: "Yesterday SDM was telling me, he (AO) has applied for job rotation. For your information... he won't get it".
All the sincere, honest and straight forward work done by AO had gone waste.
