G. Narayanaswamy: Sh. CN Venugopalan's latest posting makes a very sad reading. Reason: our rulers basically suffer from a feudal mindset.
The general popular mindset is that pension is an ex-gratia payment. The TUs are at the mercy of political parties. Laws are flagrantly violated by IBA which is not controlled by any legal authority except by Courts.
With all this, is it any wonder that the bank men are denied their dues. In treating employees and pensioner, we are having still medieval mindset of master and slave era, notwithstanding our tall talk of modernizing everything with our rulers not changing in anyway.
