Criticism - Welcome or Not ?

Criticism is always welcome. If it is healthy one, it provides opportunity to one to correct his position if found necessary. But one recent post descended to the level of slander. Are comments like "conspiracy", "providing names of non-member pensioners for payment of 20% IR after taking money", "CBI enquiry" etc. healthy criticism? Where has the Editor's oft proclaimed "prerogative to edit posts gone? Was it verified whether there was prima facie truth in the allegations? In fact I know of one case where a friend of mine, who though a member of the Class I Officers' Association, Chennai chose not to furnish his name and other details for special reasons, and yet he got his due 20% IR in time.

(Here's Shri T. Lakshminarayanan's post unedited. When a pensioner wishes to express himself and comes out with his thinking on the subject on the right hand bar chat column, there is no meaning in editing it on the main page. -Ed.)
