A note on the emphasis for unity

This refers to PC’s cartoon, a very timely

and appropriate depicting a disintegrated snake

with a remark ‘ will they soon join together to

survive’ is a million dollar question left to the

union leaders to answer.

But should it happen, God forbid sooner it happens the better for the entire Pensioners fraternity and hats off to those who venture into it. However it could be possible as we have seen how the traditional arch rivals with divergent and irreconcilable ideologies have united, shook hands to fight a common enemy the ISIS.

In politics too we have seen strange bed fellows and to them there are neither permanent friends nor permanent foes. Of course that is politics for convenience and for our convenience too why not we unite?. Well that could be for a proper understanding in engaging the best of the legal brain who will not allow any slip between the cup and the lip. Sufficient inputs were there from our erudite and legal experts. But what matters is how well we orchestrate our argument on that fateful day when the Delhi HC hears our case and we are not caught napping and caught in the wrong foot.

It is still possible to mobilize a common legal fund to be collected under a common umbrella and the modalities could be worked out in unison with regard to its allocation and spending. If such a clarion call is given I am sure the response will not be lukewarm. Individual associations whose coffers are fast drying up may not be able to mop up a sizable legal fund and the dispersal of this fund getting into the kitty of various associations would only stifle its magnitude.

Tired of contributing now and then our beleaguered pensioners fraternity would not hesitate to respond to the common call for they know that this will be their last to do so.In this fast electronic age communication can be jet fast and it should not be difficult to set the ball rolling for a positive result. Three more months available to us to put the above venture into shape. But someone has to appreciate the idea and bell the cat. Who will do that?!
