Let's be more generous in our approach

Shri Sudhakaran was not seen for long, may be for last four months. I was rather missing him. To be frank, I was thinking for a while last week to extend invitation ( in Chat column) to S/S Ganga Raju and Sudhakaran to share their personal views on the recent judgement. Raju did appear in PC but very brief.

Sudhakaran is always with sharp and pointed questions and answers. His genuine doubt, "what is equality before law, those who paid 200, 1000, 2000, 4000 should get 20000 as monthly pension" is one of its kind.

Such doubts do arise on the minds of many. But, hardly a few, like Sudhakaran, raise the question. The simplest answer to his doubt, could be, it (the pension) is neither directly proportional nor inversely proportional to the contributions. Sudhakaran's doubt / query itself has its answer.

Invitation is for strengthening the Legal Fund. All are requested to contribute his or her mite.

It is important that many take the call. The leaders have a mission to accomplish for all pensioners. 40000 plus pensioners affiliated (one form or other - active or passive) to ABC or AB or AC...The pensioners, irrespective of being a member or not being a member, may (must) partake in the cause. All know that the court business is quite difficult quite expensive. Not possible without solid support of members, beneficiaries (both long term and short term).

One fourth or at least one eighth of total number of pensioners - 10000 or at least 5000 must have read the Appeal in the PC. Rupees one thousand today is worth rupees one hundred a few years ago. A minimum of one thousand with upper limit of Rs.10000/- may be considered reasonable.

Just to illustrate by way of an example : if 5000 contribute Rs.1000/- the amount credited to the Fund Account would works out to 1000 x 5000 = 50,00,000.

Surely, this time around, there will be a good number of pensioners willing to contribute Rs.2000/- to Rs.5000/- or more. But, more importantly, the number of pensioners 'sharing the burden' should not be less than 5000.
The undersigned has decided and will remit his contribution next week.
